Welcome! I've found a lot of positive and supportive things going on here. I'm still finding it amazing that we can communicate like this across an ocean. It's great to be able to interact with other children of God who are also respectful and caring. What more can you ask of a person. Montanna

Hey! A real Brit! There are a number of us here who are wannabe's ... my family was in Wales two generations ago ... Blaenau Ffestiniog, to be precise. Glad to have a voice from across the pond. Welcome!

Hi Daniel
D_Pedr - where did it come from? D is my first initial, and Pedr is Welsh for Peter, the name I'm know by.
I found out about Soulforce from a radio news broadcast, about Rev. Jerry Falwell's death, where parts of Mel White's interview(s) was/were broadcast on BBC radio.
Shalom

Hi Brent
I was in Wales at university - Bangor, North of Ffestiniog, but before you get wet on the way to Anglesey (Inis Mon).
Still have some major christian roots there!
Speak to you soon
Yours In Christ

Croeso! Neis cwrdd â ti !
Hi Brent
I was in Wales for a while, but as I was studying engineering, I had little time to learn Welsh.
I did pick up a little the 'Welcome' and 'our' and 'to you', but please expand 'cwrdd'.
The time studying was the first time I could be honest with several people about my bi-sexuality, but most were of 'traditional ethics' and so in many ways tried to put more locks on the closet door.
They are still some of my closest friends, as I don't hold it against them.
Love in Jesus
from Peter

That's "Welcome, nice to meet you." ... and it's pretty much the limit of my Welsh, too, so no worries.
I guess Wales is quite mixed in its level of affirmation, like most places. A few very prominent icons there are open ... I'm thinking Max Boyce, for one. Sad part of course is that the Welsh know quite well what it's like to be stomped on for who you are, which should of course make them/us more careful about doing it to others...
