Hello everyone! I've found so much inspiration and help on the Soulforce website I decided I should check out the forums.
About me: I'm at an interesting place on my journey. I'm a preacher's kid from a Cooperative Baptist Fellowship background. My dad (the pastor) is very supportive of me. I had planned to go into church work too... but then I got involved in a Southern Baptist Church where I did an internship for my undergrad degree (which came from a SBC college). I lost a little direction there and felt like I couldn't be me and still do the work I was supposed to do, so I chose being me instead and thought I'd just do what I do outside of the church. I've since reconnected with the church and I'm a member of a church in the United Church of Christ. Once I finish this degree (Master of Music Education), I'm going back to plan A-- this time with the hope that I can be a part of helping bisexual people like me and people in the LGBTQ community who, like me, suddenly felt like they didn't belong in their home faith. I'm so grateful that this site and these forums are here. Looking forward to checking out the discussions!:)

Welcome. :)

Glad to have you here.

Master of Mus Ed? What school are you going to for that degree?

I'm a musician - singer. There are a LOT of musicians here on the forum. We could put together entire concerts if we were in the same place.

Lydiam,

Welcome to the forum! And I see you've dived into other threads already. Good for you!

Love your name.....

Love Southern California myself. My hubby and I visit San Diego just about every year. Family there. The sun...the sand...

Oh...did my undergrad in Music Ed...taught for a while....and am now a singer/voice teacher. Like Zerbie has noted, there are plenty of musician's around here (Keltic63, Dewdrop and Dash come to mind).

What's your instrument?
