Hi, already wrote a post about stereotypes, that caused some coversation, which was very cool. All very good points. Great to find a place where gay people can chat about everything without "hooking up" or pics of guys with their butts hanging outta their CK's. Well....about me. I am 24 and in a two year relationship.

Graduated from Indiana State. Finishing up my Peace Corps application so hopefully be doing that with in a year or so. After that planning on going to grad school to get my MFA and teach at a university (theatre of course). Just started checking out different churches with a freind, trying to find gay friendly church in Terre Haute is kinda hard. Found a few. UCC and a Unitarian. It's just that sunday mornings are always so early!

Consider my self to be well-read. Believe it or not, but many gay guys my age think that the Stonewall Riots are a punk band! Kinda scary. Have been bouncing around different jobs in the past years making ends meet.

Currently at a bank(*blech*) and Starbucks (great place to work). I love movies and theatre. Since in a small city in the midwest, i mostly see theatre at the university where i graduated, so i have grown to like edgier stuff. Do not care for the "Wicked" type shows with huge budgets, but im sure i may like one if i see it, just not willing to pay $100 to sit in a nosebleed section to maybe like it.

Well, im probaly rambling. Have great day and looking forward to chatting with some of you!

What?! OMG. :disagree: These guys need a history lesson! It's actually very important to know about what's gone before us, because of the political upheavals that are still going on around gay issues. Very little of what we face here in 2007 is new.

Anyway - thanks for the intro. :) How does a theater major wind up in Terre Haute, anyway? (Other than what you say, I have no idea what it's like there - I've never been to the midwest.)

I'm a singer who wound up in Phoenix. Bad place for the lungs and respiratory system. :disagree:

I work with youth, and I'm continually amazed at what they don't remember/know about from the past ... my favorite is the guy who said, "Wait, Paul McCartny was in a band before Wings?"
