I note that the official White House picture does not actually include the baby's parents! Hmmmm. I guess if they allowed Mary and Heather to pose with the baby, that would somehow be legitimizing their relationship and parental status? And we wouldn't want to do that, oh no!

Seriously, I don't know how Mary Cheney (and Dick and Lynne) live with the cognitive dissonance they seem to be able to accept without their brains bursting into a million little pieces. Still, I wish the little tyke well, and also wish Mary and Heather the best as parents. Let's hope he grows up to be nothing at all like his grand-diddy.

I hope George W and Laura get to hold the baby and realize they are making the biggest mistake not allowing gay marriage. Heather and Mary will be good parents to him/her (not sure which it was) and show GW and Laura that they can be good parents despite Mary's employer or father's employer's grandstanding that gay parents shouldn't be allowed to raise children. Way to go Mary and Heather. Now go be democrats and get the ball rolling on gay marriage and gay parenthood. You seem to be champions of both. It's for real now! No playing house and playing partners, you have a kid to raise in your gay household. Let's see you get serious about your rights!:rolleyes:
