Just purchased this book. Haven't read it yet, but it looks promising.
Author: Sue Hyde
Pub: Beacon Press (www.beacon.org)
2007
This purports to be an activist's how-to manual plus "homework" workbook (there are "assignments" at the end of each chapter). I've been looking for something like this for over 15 years.
If folks are interested, I'll come back with a review after I've read it. I'm always interested in resources for further learning too, so if anyone has other recommendations - pass 'em on!! :weee:

Looking forward to hearing about this ...
I'm currently reading "Departing From Deviance" ... a detailed investigation of the science and activism leading up to and following the 1973 APA depathologizing of homosexuality. So far it's quite good.
Have we had a "recommended reading" thread on here yet/lately?

There may have been one a while back. Might be easier to start a new thread, but it might be nice to revisit the old list???
Yes, Z please do post a review!!!

Oh, I missed both of those! Thanks for pointing 'em out!!
Generally speaking, yeah it's been quite a while since we've had a book thread. 'Bout time.
