friends, it is the last day of school. our principal just announced that our guidance counselor has "messed with" the clocks, and it is now time to leave! (half hour earlier than scheduled)
I will be at the bar, enjoying a few with my fellow teachers, then home to bask in the sunlight!
take care of the place, clean up after yourselves, and most of all
BEHAVE!!!

Wait a minute! You'll be at the bar enjoying a few? And you're telling us to behave? What unmitigated gall. Do you not trust us?
(Okay, he's gone. Anyone for venting vitreolic spleen using nasty words. Okay, I'll start. SHIT. There, that feels better. Now, who can I pick on while he's gone?)

I did have a good time yesterday afternoon! Today I got up just as early and drove my daughter to work. I ended up running a bunch of errands and started a painting project ( I bought an unfinished wooden game for my son's graduation party) and so my first day of summer "vacation" has been quite full of little jobs that needed done!
as for your behavior while I was gone.....Vanessa, you're fine, tdogg you're the teacher's pet, and u-dog is in the doghouse!

 All I did yesterday was puke, sleep, and post a couple times!!! If I'm going to end up in the dog house I want to have WAY MORE FUN than that.

Should it be "lock up your sons" ... or "call his and tell them to smack their Dad back into line?"

Speaking of sons, my older son turned 18 today, and we were out at the local diner for dinner (they have inexpensive tastes, thankfully) ... Scott digs one of the waitresses there (she's maybe 20), and she is the type who playfully picks on customers. He answered the cell phone at the table, and she went by and tried to take it from him, saying "no one wants to talk to you!"
As she walked away, I told him he missed his chance, he should have said, "You can't have my phone, but you can have the number." So he says it next time she comes by (I should keep my mouth shut). She laughs it off, but before we leave, actually GIVES HIM HER NUMBER. In the car, I told my son I was officially going on record to note that his gay dad's pickup line actually worked for him. He says, "I know. Thanks." It was a touching father-son moment (not so much).
Great, I can pick up women for my straight son ... what a useful skill.
Anyway, I found it funny.

you act like I have ethics or scruples or something. That isn't standard on these magic "ban" powers. I've got the ban button, there wasn't anything mentioned about having a good reason to use it!

Alright, different approach then... if you ban me I'll tell on you... I have reasons to think that Jamie would defend me
But we'll still love you even if you get in trouble Uncle Stevie
