I read in a response on this board that Mark Lowry (comedian and former Gaither Vocal Band baritone) is gay and that Bill Gaither hasn't come out and said anything against it. I've never heard this said about Mark and was wondering what evidence there was to this? I was just wondering, it was surprising to read. Thankee!

If he is (which I've never heard) he's most likely closeted ... wife and four kids. That's no guarantee, as we know, but ...

I messaged that member who claimed that and he said he has friends who think they saw him in a gay bar in Houston..... but I also emailed Mark's best friend Scott Davis today and asked and he said no. but like he is going to reveal that even if it was true....:rolleyes:

CORRECTION PLEASE... It is Mark Lowry's Brother, Mike that has the wife and four kids. Mark is single.

Your first post is to correct one of our members? and on a thread that has long since fallen deep into the archives? Had you taken the time to actually READ this thread, you would have seen that the correction was made just a few short posts away from the one you quoted. So what's your agenda here? :mad:

My guess is that he googled something like "Mark Lowry gay". This thread is the first hit.

On topic, Mark'll probably never come out, at least not as long as he's trying to have a career in Southern Gospel music. And that's his prerogative. It's kind of like Clay Aiken, though, isn't it? You'd have to be not paying attention on a cosmic level not to pick up on it.

Love his voice though.

I'm not sure. I've always really liked him. He's so funny, and when he tries that baritone voice is beautiful.

I believe that he's gay, but I don't think it's fair to make that assumption based on his manner and the fact that he's single. I'll make it anyhow, but I don't want to be held to it.

When it comes to Mark Lowry we have been trying to find out for years if he is married...he is not willing to make a statement on the subject so it leaves people to make the assumption that he is gay.....and he does not deny this either. Although I do believe it is his business and only his ....I wish he would at least be man enough to clear it up once and for all.....we are going to like him rather he is gay or not......we dont' stone people for thier life styles....come on Mark clear it up!
