Well, There are so many threads and so little time...Thanks for reading mine.
I am currently a student at the U. of Montana (non-traditional since I am going to be 29 this Halloween). I have about a year left to go-but will be attending grad school+ -in Sociology and International Development. I really am anxious to get involved with social issues of inequality-both internationally and nationally. I am studying ecological issues due to demography, globalization, and capitalism-all effecting magration and exploitation of environment and indigenous culturals/people. I love Missoula and the freedom it gives me to explore the outdoors and be a lesbian without too much prej...but equal rights and religion need to be addressed. I had a commitment ceremony in a local church here (UCC) and it was quite controversal both from the community and my family. We had plenty of support, but I still struggle to find compassion even within my own family. My father just died this past September from alcohol addiction and my 5 year relationship with my partner ended just two months ago. These heart aches have sent me into a world turned upside down and I just need to get out there and be active in which I am passionate about. Life is too short and I have realized there are bigger things that I am drawn to do. This is how I found about soulforce-through talking to a friend that is very involved with her community...If anyone has any suggestions of more groups, let me know. Thanks.

You can find most anything here, friends, chat, or discussions too long to go into. Welcome to the site.

Peace and Love, Bruce Chris

You sound really intense, or at least that your experience has been, especially recently. Thank you for sharing.

Soulforce seems to be a particularly safe space on the web to connect with others regarding uncertainties. I hope you come back, it seems you have a lot to offer.

Welcome,

-Patrick
