A few summers ago I went to be hugged by Amma. I think I got there around midnight, then waited for about an hour in a line that snaked through the sanctuary of the church, Indian music playing all the while.

When I got close enough, one of her helpers spoke to me for a few minutes, telling me what- and what not- to do. He gave me a mantra- one for Christ actually.

I walked up, our eyes met for a two seconds and then she hugged me. As I was released, I heard a high vibrating sound buzzing around my head. It lasted for about 30 minutes.

Have you ever met someone whose presence you are in gives you a sense of wellbeing and you feel really secure with? I look at Amma's photos instantly there is something within her that had connected with me. She is the personification of true and absolute love, her soul is that pure.Looking at her picture I felt something stir with in me , it was that sense of wellbeing. People like Amma have a very healing presence.
