Had lunch with Andy and Jenna today on their way to Ohio! He is not the least bit effeminate and is way better looking than his picture! Jenna is JUST DELIGHTFUL. I cannot imagine how people could be SO MEAN TO HER!
Now I want to meet the rest of you all in person!! We need to have a picnic or something.

And cool is not a word I use very often! Wish I could have been there. I'm so happy you all met up!
I think we have to plan to get together somehow. Seriously. A Soulforce Forum Convention or something of the sort. Pick a City and we all show up. Dive in the pool and have a blast.

Maybe next summer or something. I'll bring all my friends in a big van. Even the pseudo-conservative straight ones. We'll have a blast at the second annual SoulForce Community Forums Mid-July Party!! WooHoo!

I like you more and more all the time! Guac Rocks!
Leave it to me to love the world's only fattening vegetable.

Guacamole is loaded with ultra-good fats. Just stay away from the processed ones, and you can enjoy all the guacamole you want now and then. Only, use the baked chips ok???? Having a tomato and avocado salad with my entre for din din!
Off my diet today, dang. I was doing so well. Just a minor setback, returning to the grind tomorrow!

If you can't say something snide, don't say anything at all - my heart won't take it.
It's hard to look sensitive or soft when you've been riding with no A/C in your wife's Festiva (oh yes, doesn't that sound like a joy) in 90+ degree weather. I don't know whether it comes more from the windburn and hair that's been blown about almost to the point of dreadlocks, or the John Wayne walk from being chafed from constant sweating, or my hands being knotted into constant fists from holding onto a manically vibrating Festiva steering wheel at 75 miles an hour, but I guess I must of looked quite manly. [Okay Jenna, you can stop laughing any time.]
Dave is right about Jenna, though - she is delightful. Of course I love women with opinions and the brains and guts to back them up. Jenna has an incredible sense for seeing into people's souls, too, and she liked Dave immediately - of course, that may have been due to the immediate barrage of insults we flung around like we were online.
But, since Dave broke the "no compliments" rule first, I see no point to stopping now. This was the highlight of the trip - well, until we arrived in Ohio, the only highlight of the trip - but a big one none-the-less. We neglected to get pictures - but we would have had to blur out u-dog's face anyway. Either that, or crop it to show mine and Jenna's but only show Dave's chin - yes, he's that tall. And svelt - he's told me how much weight he's lost and it's just hard to imagine this tall athletic figure as a big ol' fat man.
The best part was looking in his eyes and immediately recognizing the soul of a person that I'd met in his words. This is a kind, sensitive man with an enormous heart - a quick wit to go with it, as well. All I can say is that dsdrane (the other David) may be barking up the wrong tree with his Pablo fixation.
We chatted some about how great it would be to meet more people from the forums. While in Ohio, I am going to try my damnest to make a side-trip to the Dayton area to meet BrianB, and in a couple weeks or so catch up with StevE  to get my assed kicked. :D Eventually, depending on where we land in the Northeast, I'd like to meet many more of you.
I actually have a long list of you folks I'd like to meet, so I second the motion for a picnic.

Well, if any of you are ever in No. California.....meanwhile, I am greatly looking forward to being in Tempe AZ in September and meeting one of our brightest stars.:)

WHAT?!!
David and Dash! Why am I the last to hear of this? I get the feeling that all of you have been snickering at me behind my back.
I'm humiliated now. (sniff) In fact none of you has ever taken me seriously. I've just been "David's hunky, gorgeous, bleached-blonde. latino boy-toy".
(That is how you think of me right?)

I would be so psyched for us to get that off the ground somehow- we just HAVE to!!!!! Andy, stop by NEPA if you land somewhere nearby, I would love to see those dreadlocks. My sister drove a Festiva for years, and it became a part of the family, a SMALL part nonetheless.
Do ya know what was so strange for me about meeting Daniel? I felt so NERVOUS. REALLY. Even though we seem to know each other here in such intense, human ways, I felt nervous at what it would be like to see each other in person. At dinner, once we were sitting, I felt like we had been having lunch in person for months. It was true familiarity and comfort.
OMG, I am so corny, but this place is almost indescribable at how meaningful, timely, and absolutely soul-saving it has been in my life!!!!!!

I think a SF party 2008. We should pick a date now. And a place. Drive, fly, hike, bike, train. Just get there!
Could it happen, really really happen?

If we REALLY want it to happen... perhaps we should talk to Jamie and others who may be in charge of planning the different Soulforce events and see what they say.... and see if they would be willing to help set up like a weekend thing somewhere (picnic style perferred) just to bring Soulfroce people together and get us all to meet...
Worth considering...
It's incredibly likely that I can be counted out... because basically unless something really changes I can't really leave the state very easily... unless Seattle is an option, which would be awesome... but I doubt it.

Arizona would be really cool. I've only been to Arizona once and really enjoyed it. I wish my business travel extended as far as AZ ... I'd come and meet ya.
