I have found this book and am currently trying to get a copy of it to read. Below is from the Author House (authorhouse.com) website where I have found the book. I am just interested to see what everyone thinks of this or if anyone here has read this book. I think it is a good idea, at least in theory!!!

Growing up in an orphanage, Pat wanted to change the world with her words. The first problem she ran accross was racism. She couldn't believe that a whole race of people were enslaved because of the color of their skin. Then she realized she was different herself, and she knew that she couldn't reveal herself to anyone. Words would fail her for 15 years while she hid herself from the world.
One day she decided to come out of her hiding and be herself. She was tired of all the questions that she felt were meant to demean her. She knew others could see who she was, and their questions about if she were single, had children or had a boyfriend were asked to intimidate her.
Now she has decided to let her words try to change how this life for homosexuals is lived. She realizes that she alone cannot change all that ails this world, but she wants to convey to her community that no one deserves to be treated differently than anyone else. Together is the only way real hope comes alive.
In her own way, she is going back to that initial wish to do away with racism. The homosexual community consists of all races and religions, and can be a shining example of what good this world has to offer watching out for all the downtrodden. She is counting on her community's strength because that community has taken quite a beating, but still stands strong.
Pat has lost everything worth losing, and it has not prevented her from being who she is. We cannot change who we are so lets live free.
ABOUT THE BOOK...
It is time for us homosexuals to grow up and quit asking for permission to marry. I have just the plan to enable us to take our lives into our own hands. The plan follows instructions from the Declaration of Independence, and examples from the Constitution and Supreme Court cases. Even currently, we are told not to tell who we are or we can't defend this country. Do you feel like an American?
This government and its citizens cannot have it both ways: either we are part of this society deserving of the same tax breaks as heterosexual couples, and our participation in the military is as respected or we are not. If not, then we must separate from this union and take our tax base with us.
Our brothers and sisters at Stonewall stood up united and stopped the constant harrassment by police officers. We need to learn from that example and honor their heroic stand by taking our life condition to the next level: Freedom from being a political election bargaining chip. The last discussion we had about our rights was the first Clinton campaign, which brought out "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." All talks have stopped since then. Actually, we are losing ground. President Bush is pushing for a ban on homosexual marriage. If things continue as such, we will continue paying more taxes than heterosexuals.
Since we are not treated as equal members of this society, we have every right to form our own union and take our tax base with us. We can decide which foreign and domestic policies to support. There are many scientists out there who could use our dollars to search for an AIDS cure, for example.What do you say; are we adult enough or do we need religiously controlled government permission?

Question: why are we, as adults, requesting permission to marry? As far as I can tell, there is no disparity between heterosexual and homosexual people physically. The same civil laws govern us; we have the same bills; we need provisions and clothes; we take care of our children and pets, and we pay property and school taxes, however, we differ only in the method the government taxes married couples.
The way I understand it, we have one of two alternatives as homosexuals: one, the term of marriage makes heterosexuals uncomfortable. Therefore, we can call marriage something else. That way we can gain the profit of government tax breaks. Two, we can quit paying taxes to the government. We have all heard this said, “no taxation without representation.”
Take a good look around my friends. It has not been that long since our last presidential election so most of you will remember contributing your money and time to the Democratic Party, only to hear that they will not change the marriage laws. All we get from politicians anymore is a sympathetic tone, a concerned look and the same previous story about how the House and Senate tie their hands.
Well, we can cut right through that red tape by hiring a law firm for as little as $100 a piece to represent us against the government. There are about 300 million people in the United States. I have heard it said that one percent of the population is homosexual. We do not have a true statistic of this number because not everyone who is homosexual will state so. For the benefit of argument, we will say that one percent of the U.S. population is homosexual. This will cover the adults and exclude those not old enough to vote.
Of about 300 million, say one million is homosexual. That would explain why our tax base is not enough anyway to invoke amendments to the Constitution, but $1 billion and a good law firm might be enough to win us a case to remove our tax base from this government.
I do not imagine finding a law firm to try the case of the century will be too difficult a task. Our lawyer could argue the point that Benjamin Franklin, signer of the original Constitution, had written much on the issue of no taxation without representation. Nowhere in the Constitution does it state that there must be a majority in order to form a union of our own. It will not come down to a vote between homosexuals and heterosexuals.
We could draft our own Constitution, beginning with: we, the homosexuals of the United States of America, in order to form a perfect Federation, declare ourselves apart from the heterosexual state, and its religiously ruled government, to exercise our inalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and so on and so forth.
We could be the new Amish. If you think about it, we have been around a lot longer and have suffered many persecutions. We have suffered lobotomies, loss of life, rape, experimentation and the Holocaust. Parents and the law have institutionalized us. We have had our children seized and our pets poisoned. Our families rejected us and employers denied us jobs and promotions. Society calls us nasty names and refuses us equity. The list of encroachments could fill volumes. There have been homosexuals who have relieved themselves from these hardships by either committing suicide or getting married to the opposite sex
