OK, so I figured y'all were the best people to ask this question when a simple Google search failed me. I haven't been to church in several months, partly due to disliking a lot of things they taught/believed at the churches I went to, partly due to feeling like I needed to go exploring truth for myself without letting someone decide it for me.

Well now I feel like I've at least gotten a good start on my epic quest for truth, enough that I don't think my independence is that easily threatened, and I was thinking about trying out a church or two to see what can be seen, to steal a line from a poem. Obviously, one major problem I have is that all the churches I've ever gone to (that I can remember) are heavily fundamentalist and most decidedly NOT GLBT-friendly. I can't go back there, not right now.

So does anyone know any GLBT-friendly churches in the Carolinas state line area? Close by Charlotte, mainly. Thanks!

doing some research for you now. I've sent an email to my denomination's regional minister for that area. hopefully, I can give you some info later this morning.

Check out Whosoever.com. Candace Chellew-Hodge is the editor and also lives in or around Columbia, SC. She might know of one you could try. She is also a member here at Soulforce. I think her screen name is RevTheoDyke. You could pm her and see what she has to say. Good luck in your quest. I know how hard it is to find a church you can feel comfortable with and that meets your needs. :)
