Hi,
My name is Ric and I'm a business owner in Palm Springs. I just happened to run across this website as I was doing a search for gay organizations to help grow my hotel business. The more I read about Soulforce, the more I was compelled to become a member. I was raised catholic and as a young adult I was very involved in my local parish in the San Fernando Valley. But the more I searched for answers within the church the more I realized that they didn't have the answers to the questions I was seeking. I was a confused young gay man and left the church (stopped actively participating).
My life continued with out an organized church for guidance. I used a basic doctrine to grow spiritually. To love others as god love me and that God's love is unconditional. Well that was enough to help me grow and make friends that brought more spiritual guidance into my life.
When I look back at my life now I realize now that all the people that have been a part of my life are also part of my church. A very loosely knit church but a church just the same. One of my goals now is to hopefully help people the way I have been helped through my life.
Best wishes to all.
