Hi, you all. Just finished a five-day class with Mel White. Have been involved in activism, on and off, for two decades. Am now a Unity minister in a New Thought spiritual center in Alameda. Have a partner of two years, a Disciples of Christ seminarian, plus a cat, who is sitting on my desk as I write this, and two Italian greyhounds. Love reading, theology, mysteries, gardening, and, of course -- animals!

It sounds like you have many blessings in your life. :) "New Thought" is ringing a bell with me, but I'm not sure exactly - I think it's something an acquaintance of mine is involved with. She is, or was, taking a special training that seemed to regard self-empowerment, and then she would be qualified to teach the technique to others - - could she have been with a New Thought church? Anyway, I think that may have been the one.

See, I am so typical. I was born and raised in L.A., but now that I live in Virginia I'm an expert on south speak.:)

I too am new to the soulforce community, great group of people. That's quite a resume'. Gardening? Neat, I'm an organic farmer, on the side, kinda hard to make a living at it. But, I love to grow stuff. I am having stir fryed french fillet green beans and squash for dinner that I picked yesterday. And my cat can take down a deer...well, a full sized rabbit anyway. My cat and dog are lovers, how appropriate, eh?

Hi Mary,
I am Nick and live in Walnut Creek. Long time out gay/closeted christian, new to Soulforce and thrilled about being an out gay christian.
I am in a relationship with a man who is Pagan/Wiccan and hoping to find others in a similar situation to see how a unity such as this can bloom.

I wouldn't be surprised if you or your partner actually knew one of our forums members (although he doesn't really sign on anymore)... he attends PSR and as far as I know is going with Disciples of Christ as a denomination...
