That only eight of our members have made over 1,000 posts....
Zerbie, Daniel, me, Steve(keltic), Dave(u-dog), Patrick(emproph), Nathan, Tdogg, and Vanessa!
Of them, Zerbie and Daniel are the only ones to break 2,000!!!!
If your name was just listed... I have to ask, do you have a life? How does this happen?

Grrr.
 Awright, fair question!! I'll tell ya a secret or two to frequent posting:
1. get sick. really sick, like, hafta sit on your ass for a couple of weeks and have nothing but the TV and the computer to occupy yourself with when you're not asleep.
2. take classes/lessons and teach them, and have an hour or two off between every appointment on a campus where computers are ubiquitous - I can't even go from the cardio equipment to the weight room at the gym without walking past a row of spankin' new computers just calling "Hey Zerbie, come check the forum and see what's happenin'!"
3. work part time during summer breaks so you have a lot of time to "catch up on projects," heheh, yeah - - - I do have to force myself to get away from the computer at times. :o

Last time I checked, I was posting more frequently than Daniel. But that tends to shift according to our moods, ie: which of us is feeling more talkative on any given day.

To address whether or not I have a life... Most of the time I do. But for those times when I am able to steal away for a brief time from my partner, I tend to be on the computer. And while I should be working on my home business when I'm not at my official job, I tend to migrate switfly to here.
Can't be helped. Maybe it's an addiction?? Do I need a 12 step program?? :o

actually, since I've become moderator, I find that I post less. I've noticed that if I state a strong opinion, I get accused of playing favorites (in pm's and mostly by the anti-gay crowd). So in a sense, I've had to edit myself in these forums because of the role of moderator. I've been all set to post something opinionated, then thought of how that might be perceived, and I've not posted.

I was right up there... but I didn't make the cut for the book. But I later asked Jamie about it and he sent me a copy no-charge... it lists the members who met those requirements, but it was possible to join the forum as one of the original 25 and not be on that list (there were 3 requirements)

It seems that those of us whose posts are only in the 100's are second class citizens. We're just one rung down on the ladder. Never quite get to be king (queen) of the mountain.
I guess I could go and post a lot of worthless drivel and get my posts up to 1000. (What do you mean my posts are ALREADY worthless drivel? Who said that?!) :hissy:
By the way, this month I have been here one year. Now would be a great time for people to say how much they have enjoyed my presence. :D (Remember I have self-esteem issues and really need to be fussed over.)

I was trying to figure that out myself! I think I had found soulforce a few days before the forums went public. I was searching for an organization that I could join to do some activism. it may have even been some news story about a soulforce action that brought me to the site. I don't remember if I got the email about the forums on the day that I joined, or if I just happened to stumble across the new forums when I checked the site again. either way, I knew that this was the organization for me from the very first day!

Awe... sweetie... we love you! ..and on your 1 year anniversary (if we remember, it's the 27th) then we're gonna through you a party. Just make sure we don't forget... it'll be worth it!
How did you find out about it? I've wondered for a long time, 'cuz I joined the same day that SF sent the email out announcing the forum. How did you know about it the day before?
Well, one way... if you're just looking at a few people... then just click to see full profile and it says the join date.... I think that's in the box with "see threads started by..." and "see posts by..." (or something like that)
But otherwise... go to member list, and where you could type a name to search for someone, click and go to 'advanced search'... play around with the different things at the bottom... where you can sort by, post count, join date, member name.... it's interesting!
Hope that helped and I didn't just tell you a ton of stuff that you alreay knew.

What I was trying to figure out was how Steve joined the forum the day before the first official day of public forum-dom. I joined the day the email went out, but Steve joined the day before!!
I had found SF about 1 year before the forums started, and subscribed to their emails. One day I got an email announcing a forum, so I signed up immediately (because I wanted the Walter Wink book - I was absolutely sure I would NEVER post again.:lol::lol::lol:)
Looks like Steve got signed up the sneaky way - haunting the website, just WAITING for a public forum to launch so he could get in there and cause trouble.:lol::lol: (Just kidding, sweetie!)

I know what you mean Zerbie. It took me nearly a month I think to sign up... and at first I didn't really get the point.... didn't seem that interesting. But, then I started talking to you.... all of a sudden there was reason to return.
Soon others came along and before long..... there was no reason to leave.

forget it. I thought I'd make 2,000 most by Monday morning... but it's 1:25AM here, I have to go to get up around 8:00 tomorrow morning and this makes post #1,979... I can't just post nothing... I may have been posting more then was necessary the last couple days, but I was still posting for a reason. Actually saying something.
So goodnight all - well, actually goodnight no one since you all signed off - I'm sure I'll hit that #2,000 in a day or two... and then I can post my 2,000 smilies in celebrate! (speaking of pointless posting)
