I remember you contacted me about one of my threads and I saw that today was your birthday, and I usually don't make a deal out of birthdays but I looked at your profile and then your webpage (http://www.msu.edu/~wiescho1/index.html) and saw this:

We light candles for those we love, we ask for divine intervention in their names. We light candles to guide us in the night, we light candles to shead us a little glow of light while we sit up reading with our lover in bed beside us, the flickering dim just enough to keep from disturbing their slumber. We light candles to celebrate, to mourn, to welcome, and to give a slight glimmer of hope to the dying world.
We light candles and we are safe.
And then I went looking for a "happy birthday" picture at photobucket.com and then as I was looking, that last line above just kind of sank in and then I just started looking for pictures of the peaceful flickering of candles. I found plenty, here are a few. Happy Birthday. Patrick
