Wally and Joe live together on the farm
Gun rack in thier truck tattoos on thier arms.
Card-bearin members of the NRA
Got a sillouette target on a bale of hay.
Wally re-enacts with the Rebel flag
Joe knocks 'em out with his Dolly parton drag.

Wearin Carhartt and Wrangler and drivin old wrecks
They're down-home Southern country queer rednecks

Then there's Sally and Susy right next door
Two bio-deisel dykes with a 4X4.
They raise organic angus and free-range bird.
Own every Indigo album and sing every word.
They read Backwoods home with Massad Ayoob
Thier boat Boudicca's got an Evinrude.

Wearin Carhartt and Wrangler and drivin old wrecks
they're down-home Southern country queer rednecks.

We live in trailers we got big dogs.
We shovel horse shit and we slop the hogs.
No champagne brunches with the HRC
Just a long-neck bottle's good enough for me.
Can't shove me in a closet gotta understand
I got a 12-guage Mossberg and a steady hand.

I wear Carhartt and Wrangler and drive an old wreck
I'm a down-home Southern country queer redneck.

:lol: Omigoodness wow. That's really good. :D

I didn't understand half the references (we practically live on different planets) but that has a strong rhythmic cadence and the rhymes don't labor. That needs to be sung now. Would make a very good song.

that was great.

Do you really raise organic beef? I've been an organic farmer for years. I spent a couple of hours on my New Holland TN65 last night bush hogging after work and have the plans to make my own biodiesel still out of a old hot water heater. We're neighbors, I have a small farm (32 acres) in central Virginia.

Redneck! thats great. Do you know anybody who could write the music for it? the rythm of the thing suggests "lyrics" to me. Make a great country song!

We raise organic pork and lots of free-range bird. I just used beef in the poem 'cause I thought "organic angus" had a nice sound to it. We got Yorkshires and a Tamworth. Can y'all come bush-hog at our place? :D
We have a deisel suburban that we want to convert to bio or to SVO.
I also have a tough little gas Chevy S-10. I'd like to make an ethanol still for it. A neighbor of ours has an ethanol still. It gets put in gallon containers. I don't think any of it ever makes it into a car though. ;)

I loved your poem! We have some queer rednecks up here in Ohio too. Are y'all into NASCAR? Maybe you could write a verse about racing.
