Hi All~
I'm new to this. I'm a 28 year old gay male in Lexington, KY. I'm in the process of "coming out" to my friends, but haven't gone there with my family as of yet. (Does the process ever end?) Anyway, I'm looking to become more active in the Lexington Gay community, and I'm wishing that there was an MCC in Lexington. Oh well.

Welcome Matt! Lots of people in various places in the coming out process. we are a varied group ranging in age from 14 to 74. some of us are all the way out and been there for a long time. Others of us are just coming out and others of us are only out.. here. We are Christian (methodist/presbyterian/baptist/quaker/episcopal/catholic/pentacostal), Budhist, agnostic, atheist, Jewish, and Pagan. you should fit in there somewhere!! Feel free to jump in!

Hi Matt,

Welcome. U-dog covered the territory pretty well - this is a diverse group.
Coming out? I guess, no, it doesn't really ever end. Even coming out just as someone supporting gay individuals and couples from the "safety" of straight marriage seems endless - there are always new acquaintances how didn't know before.

Anyway, I think you'll like it here.

Welcome Matt,

No, I don't think the coming out process ever ends. Who ever knows you 100%? And even after we come out, I think in a sense we have to keep coming out to the same people since life isn't static.

This is a great place with some wonderful people, not the usual internet fast food. So, pull up a chair and dine with us.

Hi Matt! Welcome to the forums ...

Here's a list of potentially gay-affirming churches in Lexington, maybe it will be helpful:

Man, I've gotten a lot of threat-like responses today... I should really stop saying mean things about people :o

Hi Matt! Welcome aboard!
I am sort of new here myself and only recently came out to family. Its a bit tough but people will surprise you as to how accepting they are. I live in NJ not too far from NYC. Did you go to a Christian college? I did and was quite relieved to know that I can be gay and still be a Christian. Am attending a Mens Coming Out support group nearby - its really helping me. Maybe there is such a group by you.
