My Dad is 79 and is having angioplasty around noon today. That's where they open up an artery with a stint. He's had a lot of them- perhaps a dozen or so over the years.

Am I worried? A little. You never know when you say "I love you" that it might be the last time.

Thanks for your prayers.

My heart sank when I saw the title of the thread, so I'm a bit relieved to see that it's a request for prayers/good vibes. You got 'em coming your way and his.

You were exactly right. Cherish those moments when you have him. Hope he is better and feeling great in a few days. Much prayer coming your way...:pray::pray::pray:

My Dad is....well.....fine, as far as his heart is concerned. They went looking in there and couldn't find anything wrong. They're doing more tests tomorrow to find the cause of some shortness of breath.

I don't know.....sometimes I think these things are geared to get people closer to one another. A call to love.

Hi Daniel

Glad to hear your dad's heart is fine. Hopefully they will find out what the problem is and get it resolved. Still going to send some prayers up that the doctors will figure it out.:pray::love:

My father and I buried the hatchet after a 5-year vacation from each other when I traveled to Raleigh to see him in the hospital following his second angioplasty.

We never resolved all of our issues. We discovered that, were it even possible, it was not necessary. All we had to do was simply forgive and love.

My father is no longer with us, but I thank God that we had those 10 some odd years to get to know and spend time with each other.
