View Full Version : What's your drag name?

I thought this would be fun. It's simple too.

A friend of mine once told me "the formula" to picking your drag name. He said it was the name of your first dog and the first street you lived on. I laughed upon realizing that my drag name would be Lucky Ashland.

Ashland is actually the second street I lived on, but I thought it sounded better than Lucky Cumberland, which now that I think about it has a certain ring to it too. But mostly I was amused that the process worked.

Then he told me what his drag name would be — Pepper Cardell.

I about fell out of my chair, that's practically addictive to pronounce.

So, first dog + first street name = drag name.

Those are the rules, but not necessarily hard and fast, play around if you have too. If I had the choice my drag name would be Miss Penelope Babe, but my first dog and second street name have permanently ruined that for me. But so goes my karma, I'll deal with it...

Crystal Jubilee. Damn, I don't even do drag names right.

Actually, if I were to use the full dog's name it would be Crystal Closet Queen Jubilee - I named my first dog after a Leon Russell song about Little Richard.

Andy, you think that's bad; I think it's cute? How about:
Putt 3E

I don't even get a real last name; I'm stuck with a number. (One that's even less poetic than David's number.)
"Putt" evolved from "Puddles" because we had trouble getting her housebroken.

Can I move forward in time to when I was a teenager? Then it becomes:
Hunky Pioneer "Hunk" for short.

I like that much better.

Actually..."Strawberry" was the name I gave to the black kitten we found in the loft. (Yeah...silly, but I was very wee...be nice!) We settled in to "Blackie" before long.

Dunk,

Now I am wondering just why you have ever found a need to generate a porn star name. I am finding this whole idea quite disturbing (yet strangely fascinating).

Me too! Me too!

I thought the "pet-street" naming convention was to create your PORN name, not your DRAG name??

Well anyway, I am Herman Ross :D

This one is the formula for determining your Star Wars name and persona. Its a little more involved.
For your new first name:
Take the first 3 letters of your 1st name and add
the first 2 letters of your last name

For your new last name:
Then take the first 2 letters of your Mom's maiden name and add
the first 3 letters of the city you were born

How to determine your Star Wars honorific name and title:
take the last three letters of your last name and reverse them.
add the name of the first car you drove/owned
insert the word "of"
tack on the name of the last medication you took.

I would be: Davco Mitrea, Mocmaverick of Cymbalta

Have I done it wrong? I have 4 names, but you only have 3. Confused.

Anyway, I got a great laugh out of doing this one. What I came up with for my Star Wars name:

Sushu Hamor, Yelprizm of Ibuprofen.

Throwing medication in there really makes it totally and utterly ridiculous. I coudn't finish the one for my hubby (don't know his first car) but whatever it is, he is "of Tylenol."

Okay ya know what's scary?
#1: I never noticed before that my husband's last name is a palindrome,
and
#2: I'm really trying to imagine what a "Yelprizm" might be.

Jayde Koeni, Rekgalaxy of Lactaid

Although I already have a sci-fi name that I've used forever as one of my alter-egos: Kane Galaxy

An unsuitably acid tongue for a Prevacidian. We take pains to make Acetaminophen a place of great comfort, and non-steroidal anti-inflammation ... or something.

Fun Time. I like these threads as reading through always causes a chuckle.

Not sur about my drag name though:

Fifi Woodcote Valley.

I'm sure I'd heard a different formula too, but can't remember it. First name was the same, but the second...

From a Prevacidian, we take issue with the Acetaminophenians. Although, the Advillians, Motrinians, and the generic breeds of Ibuprofenians, all really upset the Prevacidians tummies, but then again, the protection of Prevacidians allows some influx of the Advillians. We shall let the Acetaminophens in.

Drag name! Well, let's see. First dog? I've had fewer dogs than cats so that narrows it down.

Taffy Whistler.

...oh, that's kinda scary.

I had three "first cats"... Tickles, Star, and Abraham DeLacy Giuseppe Casey Thomas O'Malley.

I think maybe my dearly beloved O'Malley-cat should be left out of the equation. *grins*
