:weee::weee::weee:
This morning I bought the biggest sun-protection I could find. Maybe I won't get heat distress anymore now.
It's identical to this, only in all white: http://aztexhats.com/system/shopexd.asp?id=747
And here's the one I almost bought: http://aztexhats.com/system/shopexd.asp?id=753
It's just the coolest store - they have all kinds of stuff you never see in regular stores. I felt like putting on a production of Hello Dolly.:p "I'll be wearing ribbons down my baaaaaack this summer!"

:lol::lol: Yeah, it IS enormous.
I'm tired of heat distress and burning all the time. My skin's really fair with pinkish/reddish tones and I hate looking pink/red all the time, and always covering my face with greasy sunblocks. I can't find an SPF 45 that isn't greasy. Anyway, the hat is WAY more fun. No more losing me in a crowd with that hat on. :D

Zerbie,
I always wear a broad-brimmed hat when outside and the temperature is above freezing (here in Wisconsin). I wear straw hats in summer and felt hats in Fall-Winter-Spring.
I like the mild winters global warming is bringing, but I'm sorry for all the suffering it's causing elsewhere. We really need to do something!

:D
I'm falling more in love with big brim hats as we speak. I THOUGHT I had wide brims on some of the hats I already own, but once I saw The Great White Picture Hat of Az-Tex Hats, I knew my mistake. :p
I own 8 hats (2 for winter, the rest for sun-protection, at least nominally so, and 2 with a fair bit of brim, and now the giganto-hat.) :D
Of COURSE to be worn with big glamorous glasses, Daniel, how could you even ask?! I may not be on a level with Oxy's fashion sense, but I do know that much. ;) I'm bringing out the big brown "mysterious" sunnies that I have on in the People magazine photo.
Ya'll should go check out the rest of their stock at AzTex hats - I was blown away, but of course, I love hats. Anyway, they even sell goofy hats for Halloween and St Patrick's Day. They even sell a copy of Dumbledore's sorting hat from HP. :lol: And if you check out the pulldown tabs on their home page, you can see pictures and descriptions of how custom hats are made! :tup: :D
RE: pics. I'll work on it. I will have to pose for hubby's camera, then wait a while - we're 35 mm, we haven't gone digital yet. Then after we get the photo CD back, I will have to (finally) learn how to convert a photo into a jpg - at least, I think that's what needs to happen, right? You need a jpg to upload here? That's what's always stalled me before - I don't know how to turn a pic into a file. :rolleyes:
Anyway - I'm so in love with my new hat. :D:):magic:

Yeah, a jpg would probably work the best, but really anything will do. The real issue that gets in the way is the file SIZE... it drived me crazy you have to downsize everything really far.
We have lot of computer geeks on here though (Andy, specifically I have in mind).... I'm sure someone can walk you through it. :)
