I need a good way to distract my cat. It seems he thinks that when I am on the computer it is time for him to lie on my keyboard or mouse..and chase the arrow around the screen. He use to be content on just sitting on my lap...but not anymore. In fact, he has decided the computer desk is him and will clear anything out of the way just to be able to lay on it. Oh, and if I pick him up to move him he hollers at me and gives me a very distasteful look.

Yeah, I was going to say.. you should know by now that you have no choice. You're talking about a cat, know the boundaries... you're crossing into dangerous territory, if you leave the computer alone for a while the sweet thing will probably lose interest and you can have the computer back.:love:

Hi Bill,
A jealous cat can wreak absolute havoc. I had a voice activated R2-D2( I know-total geek here) and I realized my cat was totally jealous that I was speaking to it instead of to her. I finally had to just take the toy back to the store to restore peace in the house. She didn't require all my time, but she did demand all my attention for a few minutes throughout the day. Maybe a similar situation is happening with you.
I have to agree with Scott, his advise seems the most direct; may I add "Resistance is futile" :borg:
