I think I've been doing well handling stress. I try to let things go.
Today just isn't that day.
I bought this new computer, have had it less than a week, and I still can't access anything related to Windows products such as Word, Office, or Outlook. This is a rebuilt Gateway. The 25 digit product code that is supposed to "unlock" the programs, is invalid. Gateway says it's a Microsoft issue, Microsoft says it's a Gateway issue. I spent nearly 2 hours trying to get it resolved, and was finally given Gateway's Retail Corporate number. Of course, Sunday isn't a business day for that particular office.
School starts tomorrow.
I sat in the sun for nearly 2 hours waiting for, then watching my son's football game: sunburn.
woke up with allergy and sinus issues: another infection???
everything my partner does is irritating (today only....not in general) so I know it's me, but I'm afraid he's gonna get the worst of me today.
Send good vibes. I need them.

A big hug to you- and much love.

Oh you poor thing!!
I SO know what you mean - I was a monster for 3 weeks with all that dentist stupidity, and my poor hubby had to live with me. :(
Things'll change. Probably tomorrow.
Meanwhile BIG HUGS for today.

Keltic,
I need to get to bed, first day of school tomorrow, yikes. But first, my two daughters were getting on my last nerve today as well, but thank God, my wife has been the rock of stability telling me everything's going to be ok. And it will, for you too my dear friend. You are the best, and remember you love the guy you live with and he loves you too. Just push through the irritation and realize you couldn't and wouldn't want to live without him and his irritations.
Best of luck as the new school year begins and keep our music director in your prayers. She just discovered she has cancer and will miss much of the beginning of school as she begins her first rounds of chemo.
Love ya bunches big guy!!!;);)

Steve,
There is nothing worse than computer problems to get on your last never...I swear sometimes there is a monster in there...especially when I cannot get my programs to do what they are suppose to do. Sometimes, it is best to walk away before you get out the hammer. Hope things get better real fast.

Oh how I would love to do this ... in fact, I begged for permission to beat one of our old computers to death in the field when we got new ones in the office ... no luck.
Ok, I'm thinking we're all in some kind of vulcan mind-meld at this point ... just exactly how many of us are having crappy times right now? I go on the list ... not coping with stress well, sick of being broke ("non-profit" is a description of salaries, not companies), blah, blah, blah ... and I didn't hit the Powerball on Saturday, either. Harumph.

I am spitting nails and breathing fire at this point!
computer issue: not resolved after talking with the "retail corporate" office. Basically, the manager I spoke with, Jennifer, implied that I was lying, said that I purchased the computer in 2006. The computer would not allow me to register it as being purchased in 2007 because that was not an option in that field as I was completing the online registration. She continued the attack by saying that each of the tech support personnel reported that I "refused to pay for tech support." I informed her that not one of the tech support people asked me for payment. So, as I repeated the problem, I asked her what she was going to do to help me resolve the issue; silence on the other end of the line. I asked for her direct supervisor, and she would not let me speak with anyone else. I've done a system restore, as directed, but that has not taken care of the problem. In addition to all this, the microsoft products that I'm attempting to use are "trial editions" which was not noted in the sales information, nor in any of the accompanying literature that came with the computer.
At this point, I'm thinking I should just purchase microsoft office online, download it, and not worry about the products that came bundled with the computer.
I haven't even talked about the school issue, which is not resolved yet.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: :mad:

Steve- If you are going to purchase Word, get it in the 'Teacher and Student' format. You will save a bundle. It costs something like $150 instead of $400.
There is nothing that annoys me more than computer problems!
I feel for you brother!

Steve,
I hear ya, sweetie, nothing more irritating than a piece of inanimate equipment that won't work but holds your existence in its clasp. Ugh!!!!!!!!!
I swear sometimes I think computers are satan incarnate, or inanimate as it were. Well, I wish I could help you but know that I support you and wish for you the best.

See, thing is, we invented Artificial Intelligence years ago ... it just hasn't told us yet. It's having too much fun toying with us.
