I'm back at Gordon for [hopefully] my last semester and as I've said before, this can be a pretty sad place. Please pray that God will heal rifts between me and certain individuals who are important to me, and also that this semester will go smoothly so that I can finish with good grades. The last thing that I need is for my grades to go to hell along with my personal life.

This was the song that came to mind for me, below. But in a larger sense, it reminds me that perhaps it's the cycle itself between "pleasure and pain," or "good and evil" that is most important to understand.

It's as though the secret to god is that invariably one leads to the other, for all eternity. Thus - don't even touch the knowledge of good and evil - if you want to stay "in heaven."

I'm thinking too that this is the "fear of God." The very need to accept the unacceptable, in order to truly love God.

To truly love love is to accept the process of fear in it's making.

As in, in its "making" increased awareness of its own love -- its own infinite fun.

Technically, we must have come first. Because technically, without fear, you have no garden. Because without the creation of fear, there is no tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and thus there is no garden of eden to surround it.

And this is one of the products of this process -- that feeds the garden...
