What's up?

I'm a young guy that loves what God has for him. I love just slowing down and enjoying life. I work at a homeless shelter in Downtown Houston. I mainly work with teens everyday. I finished my training in May of 2007. I graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a Bacchelor's in Arts Degree. It was rumored that a group from Soulforce was coming to my college. I'm just curious what the story was on this. (Ya hear the rumors, but you wonder what's really going on)

I'm open for dialogue and friendship. Please message me or e-mail me. I guess what I want out of this forum/website is to get to know and understand others. On BOTH sides of the coin there are stereotypes and misunderstandings. I can't resolve all points of difference, but I can perhaps resolve my point of difference. Thanks for ya'll's time!

Welcome friend!

The message here is unconditional love. I invite you to share the message that we all are created to love. The ability to love is a gift from God. Some of us are by nature of His creation made to passioately love the same sex and some the opposite sex. Neither are second class humans created to have a nature and then prohibited from enjoying his gift. That would be disrespectful and unappreciative to Him.

I love the fact that you tend to teens in homeless shelters. Gay teens are of the most vulnerable minorities in the world and need all the affirmation and support they can get. I would love to hear more!!!!!

Hi Chady and welcome to Soulforce. It's very to hear that you work with homeless teens. Teens who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender are very likely to be kicked out of their homes because of it. Have you found this to be so in your case.

Hi Chady! Welcome! I am a new member to the forum myself, but I just want to extend a warm greeting! I find your alma matter an interesting fit for your interest in this forum! Thanks for being open enough to show interest in getting to know others who may or may not be like you.

I am in the social work field, and I appreciate that you work with homeless teens! Right now I'm in graduate school, so who knows what population I'll end up working with!
