:) On a funny note... someone called my Pastor trying to get me in trouble.:lol::lol: "Do you know he doesn't believe in Hell?" "What kind of stuff are you teaching there?":love::love:

Well, I know I'll be teaching...

Bar Church is…
“progressive spirituality, inspirational music, wonderful speakers, meditation & affirmation…”

We believe...
"God is Love"

We Value...
"Everyone." We strive to be Inclusive, diverse, and welcoming to everyone... regardless of religious affiliation, sexual orientation, race, color, creed, health, albed-ness, wealth, etc.

We are committed to...
"Freedom from fundamentalism." Thoreau's quote describes our intent very appropriately... "Take what you learn from books, religion, teachers, etc... and dismiss whatever offends your soul."

Our hope is that you will fully embrace our belief that "God is Love," incorporate "Valueing Everyone" into your life, and take on the commitment to have an authentic, deep spirituality.

Is your pastor Carlton Pearson? I just started reading his book.

Nate --

I have but one friend in Tulsa (who just happens to be gay), and he now knows.

May you have all the success with this!

I did communion with beer and pizza once at a retreat in seminary when somebody forgot to pack the elements. Don't tell John!

I'll have a Cup of Salvation...on the rocks.

(And make it a double.)

I'm sorry...is my Episcopalian slip showing again?

:D

lol... Well, truth be told, I'm being intentional with using my "image" to promote this effort. I think most churches are "personality driven" to a certain extent and I intend to "use what God gave me" with intention and integrity.

And, yes, the bar will be open. :)
