Oprah's topic for this Friday, September 28th is transgender kids

Last Friday was Oprah's show on the topic "Intersex". It was very interesting and I believe eye opening even for Oprah. She showcased the book "Middlesex", has anyone read it? This Friday's show should be as well. Gotta remember to set that on the DVR!

I haven't read that book but I did see that program ... very interesting and well done I thought ... though I didn't have enough notice to post an alert about it. It looks like Oprah is doing a series on gender variance ... there will be another transgender related program on Oct 12th, but I'll post a separate thread to announce that too. It's good to see more and better education happening in the media! : )

Oprah's program on the 28th included two of the transgender youth from the MSNBC program "Born in the Wrong Body" from a few months ago (Angelika and Jake).

Hi Sherrie! Thanks for the info. I will look into that. Recorded the 9/28 show, I'll have to set the DVR for 10/12. I'm glad she's doing this!
