First of all, I would like to thank Jamie McDaniel for allowing me to join this forum through the guidance of almighty God. I consider it as a blessing because I need support to go on in my day to day Christian life. Being in a place where gay is not really accepted is very humiliating. I thank God that I found the Lord Jesus Christ………..my life, my joy, my all. No matter what happens, I know that He is with me saying……….I let you live because I love you, and I called you because I have a good purpose for you in this world…….. I had many tears that shed in the past…..simply because I am a gay. I understand that this will not end until I’ll finally meet the Lord Jesus in heaven.
My name is James, 43 years old, male, an Asian, never married, and from Toronto. I am an engineer by profession, working in wireless communication system. My favorite verse in the bible is Romans 8:28. I consider myself a gay because I am emotionally and sexually attracted to certain men (physical and intellectual). I dated many girlfriends in the past, thinking that my “gay” feeling would eventually fade away. It was a failure because I was not sexually attracted to them. Although I have this feeling, I did not come out as a gay due to many reasons that would prejudice me. I pray that someday, God will put me in a place where I would be understood and accepted. It is not my choice to be a gay. I do not even know why I have this feeling……….but I am confident that God has a certain purpose.
Hoping that you would accept me as a new member………thanking in advance for anything you could share to me so we could grow together in Christ. I take this opportunity to thank Ben for guiding me to this site.
In Christ,
James

You are SO TOTALLY WELCOME here James! Those of us who post here regularly believe firmly that we are as God made us and intended for us to be. Those of us who are Christian share your deep conviction that Jesus loves us without limits or boundaries.
I am sorry to hear how you have suffered in the past... many of us here have walked that path also. I pray that the future holds much joy and fulfillment for you -- emotional, relational, spiritual, and sexual.
God is good! All the time.

Hello James,
You will find that you are among like-minded individuals here. Many on here are fervent Christians who epitomize Jesus's tenets of love, acceptance, and fellowship. Even though I am not a Christian, I have tremendous respect for these people, and have learned a thing or two from them.
Also, I am apologetic to the anxiety and confusion you have faced over the years. Many on here have similar stories, and have found this site to be a great place for tolerence and acceptance.
So, welcome!
Bennett

Good to have your here!
Love Toronto! Got married to my guy there in 2005. And have visited there at least 6 times. A gracious city to be sure. Are you living there still?
Peace and blessings.

James, you are what this site was created for. Welcome.
Welcome James ,
You are not alone. You have taken a major step towards realizing that. I encourage you to wander the threads and participate. Give us a chance to get to know you and you in return will get to know us. It will probably feel strange and even risky at first, being open and who you are and discovering that you are safe. You're gonna like it :). You'll find people of all different stripes here, but the thing you will find common is a community of people who care.

A want to wish you a warm welcome.
Yes, there are many Christians here who can relate with what you have said. I rejoice every day that I am a Christian who is loved by God. I have in the past few years come to realize that God has made me who I am; that includes being gay. I have also slowly come to the realization that I can rejoice that God has made me this way.
I wish I had come to this realization earlier in life. (I'm 46). But I have to trust that God's plan is best. We have no way of knowing God's plan for he future; we only can trust.
Please let us get to know you better. I look forward to what you have to say.
Tu Amigo, Pablo

Daniel,
Thank you very much! It’s great to know that you got married in Toronto. Yes, Toronto is a gracious city! It is blessed by very nice open-minded and peace-loving people. I am presently out of the country because of overseas assignment. My present job requires traveling from time to time. I’d been in NYC several times during holidays. Hoping that someday, God will find us a way to meet you and your wonderful guy! God bless!
James
