I was just sitting here sketching my characters when I suddenly remembered a very ignorant quote from my first meeting with the pastor.
He: now my grandma told me what was going on with you, Andrew, and I just want you to know that I'm here to help you. now this, this "gender" that you call it-
Me: orientation.
He: whatever-it's just a fad, like a fashion sense (lol!)...everybody's doing it, but just because everyone wants to do something doesn't mean that you have to, too. (superLOL!!!)
Me: (WTH?!o_O)
Yeah, I couldn't believe it either...he still probbie thinks I chose to be gay, but honestly, if I had my choice in things, I'd choose to be in a much different place right now.
I've just finished the main portion of Stranger at the Gate, and honestly, that has got to be the most legitimate book I have ever read about homosexuality! I loved it! Now I know that it's impossible to capture the full essence of anything, but he manage to get 99.999% of it down (how it feels to be homosexual, how responsible loving homosexuals are, what it means to be one)! Mel White definately beats Eric Marcus by a long-shot.
So, I'll go lie down now, I have class later.
