Hello to everyone,
I am not really familiar with this site. But, I have seen Soulforce advertized in my daughter's Church Bulletin. She recommended this site to me as well as Pflag. This seemed like a good place for me to start...and, I am just beginning on my journey to understand my daughter's discovery and, now, my discovery too.
I am hoping this is a place for me to begin to understand, share and learn.

Hi CassK and welcome to Soulforce! Which church did you find information on Soulforce from? We also have a local Soulforce group up there.

Hello Cass and welcome! We're happy to have you. I find PFLAG a tremendous organization - the PFLAGers I have met are wonderful warm caring people. I hope you will have as good an experience with them as I have had.

Kathy Stayton is fabulous. When I was just coming out of the closet I traveled to Chicago for WOW 2000, which was the first ever gathering of all the welcoming movements in the different denominations. I had thought I would just go up there and kind'a sit near the back, observe, and take notes. Well, I happened to sit next to Kathy and she introduced herself and then she introduced me to her friend Dotti Berry who lived in Lexington. I also met Peggy Campolo from Central Baptist Church at WOW 2000.
I think that's probably all the folks I know from CBC.
