my apologies to any A&F twinks who hang out here, especially you Andy, what with those abs you have!:

I was halfway through the video, crossing my arms - that perfectly formed 24 pack of abs flexing in the wind - vibrating in the breeze - okay, wobbling in the slight air movement as people walked by.

My hats off to them - but definitely not my shirt.

Sorry to highjack, but I reminded of a recent event. Someone came up to me, while in the company of my wife and several friends, and told me they loved my belt and asked where I got it.

I looked down. I shifted slightly. I shifted a lot. I tried to move my belly to one side or the other. Finally, I asked Jenna which belt I was wearing.

[Sigh] I'll not be living that down for quite some time.

I'm hardly a habitue of A&F (though I did buy a lovely pair of summer-weight, cream-colored trousers there back around 1990 before the re-branding), but the couple of times I've been in one in the last two or three years...not only was it ridiculously dark but also incredibly loud.

I mean incredibly loud...so loud I only lasted a minute or two, thinking this is a workplace lawsuit waiting to happen.

Guess they're going for the nightclub look and feel.

And the lemmings are lapping it up.

Sad.

I read the first panel and went "This has ImprovEverywhere written all over it". I haven't checked out any of the new actions in...months, so thanks. :)

As for the store...yeah. Ridiculously loud. I went in once, laughed at how much they were charging for jeans that literally looked like someone had painted a house in them, and then laughed harder when erasure came on (mostly cause erasure just always makes me giggle).

Watch the related video of "agent reactions" ... the world is so friggin uptight! I love the Improv Everywhere stuff ... they did a "Cell Phone Symphony" with like 50 cell phones at a bag check in a library ... pure genius. If you're the manager of an A&F, and this happens at your store, what kind of brainless wonder turns it into bad PR instead of embracing the moment and getting good exposure (no pun intended)?
