Is there some sort of forumla or something I can use? I kind of need to know, but I don't know how to come up with a number..
Can anyone help me? Teachers, any of you able to help me?
Thanks:)

I think you'll find this varies according to the school. What is the point system? If your school awards pluses and minuses, that affects how you calculate it differently, I believe, than if it does not. Can anyone clarify or correct me on this statement?
Anyway Jen, ask an academic counselor at your school - I think you'll get the most accurate info there.

If you are able to do as Zerbie suggested, that would be the best solution.
If not, look at one of your report cards and tell us what kinds of information is on there.
Tell us if each course gets a letter grade - A, B, C, etc. Also if there are are occurances of + and - (e.g. B+, A-).
Is there a credit system used for classes, where a class is worth 3 credits, or 2, or 5?
If you let us know those things, we could probably approximate your GPA.
Remember, though, that IF you have an academic advisor, they would be the best place to start (just like Zerbie said).

I haven't seen a report card this year (and I just started this school this year)... I'm trying to get a hold of someone at the school to help me, but there isn't much point if I don't have it in a couple hours.
I don't have any information on how their credit system works or anything  not fair.
Thank you both for the tips... I'll keep trying to get a hold of the school, with this many variables I guess they're the only ones that can help.
(my sister and I both have a B average according to their system, but I'm not sure if that helps?)

On a 4.0 sclae, a B is 3.0. A B average, however, is going to be within a certain range of 3.0, but not too far removed for an approximate.

Thanks:love:
The B is already averaged... I have 3 A's and 3 B's and she has 2 B's and 4 A's

What grade are you in Jenn? Your GPA usually only includes grades from HS (9-12). Your grade point average from the grades you gave us would be 3.5. Her's would be 3.67. Are those from last year? This last grading period?
We're Sophomore.
Those grades are just where we currently stand, I intend to be doing better than that before the semester is out. We can check our grades at any given point, so that's simply where we are right now.
How do you calculate that, I don't get it?

The most straightforward way (if the classes don't have a credit value) is to call each A 4 points and each B 3 points, then take the average.
Three A's = 3x4=12
Three B's = 3x3=9
9+12=21 GPA = 21/6 = 3.5

Awe, that makes sense, thank you!
