Aw man, it snuck up on me again.

I keep meaning to acquire the appropriate costume so I can dress up as a toreador.

My friend did that with his boyfriend one year: awesome childhood nostalgia right there.

I was not invited to any parties that I can actually get to, so I'm probably just hitting the bars. No costume this year.h

I'm going as a streetwalker, what y'all call a 'ho. Fluffy blond wig, 44DD boobs, a leather mini, fishnet stockings, lotsa rings and bracelets, a diamond necklace, Dallas Cowgirl style high heel boots, 'way too much makeup, and enough cheap perfume to smell up a bordello.

When I get a chance to be a real slut, and strut my stuff, It's time to go all out.

Hey, on Halloween, you can be ANYTHING you want.

Peace, Love, and Unlimited Fantasies, Bruce Chris

If I was going out I think I'd be a pirate. With a big hat and peg leg. That would be fun. I thought about going to the local church alternative haunted Judgement House. But if I did I'd just go to make fun of it and I figured that wouldn't be very Christian. (-;

My daughter and I dress up every year. This year she will be Hannah Montana, and I am going to be Rose from "Titanic". I don't typically like to pick anything scary, I am pretty original in my choices.....:)

I met the most beautiful woman this weekend. She almost makes me want to go straight!

She's gorgeous! Love the shoes! And the bird of peace is simply divine! And the dress is so tasteful and demure with the simple and elegant single strand of pearls. Tell me. Does she go to your church?

Boy, talk about your match made in heaven. What does Scott think of her, dare I ask?

Gay Enclaves Face Prospect of Being Passé

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 24 — This Halloween, the Glindas, gladiators and harem boys of the Castro — along with untold numbers who plan to dress up as Senator Larry E. Craig, this year’s camp celebrity — will be celebrating behind closed doors. The city’s most popular Halloween party, in America’s largest gay neighborhood, is canceled.

Apologies for getting all serious on this thread, but today's article in the NYtimes seemed ripe for discussion.

No worries.. I find that article disappointing, I hate hearing that canceling such an event was necessary for the safety of those who may attend.
:disagree:

On a happier note... we went into Starbucks this morning and my mom was definately turning heads and every had to talk to her. She was Mary Poppins... which is perfect because she's a nanny for a living. :D

I was Mary Poppins one year, I LOVED that costume, maybe I will have to try it again in the future. One of Hannah's favorite movies when she was a wee tot......

I dressed up as a witch today and carried a plastic caldron of candy around with me at school. It was fun! I had to resist the deep, deep temptation to go trick or treating this year because I have a major test tomorrow. :( I love Halloween :)

sigh.

I love the quote "every day is Halloween in the Castro."

sigh.

Maybe gay ghettos are passé. :(:(:( Something in me really likes the idea of them, though. Like a gay community center sprawling several blocks wide? I'd enjoy living there. Then again, by contrast look where I've ended up!
