Every once in a while I venture off to a new site in search of additional intelligent life. I suppose I shouldn't complain, I'm one of the lucky ones to have found this place (i.e., SF). But is this the only place like this in the www (whole wide world)?

Okay, here's what set me off. I went surfing on gay.com and was struck by the number of guys who sum up their identity in the size of their penis and their favorite bedroom position. Really? Sigh. Tell me, please, there are other places to meet gay guys where this isn't common.

To clarify, I'm not looking for a guy either, just friends. Having gay friends is new for me, so I have a lot of catching up to do. Given that I am not looking for a lover or a hook up, it's kind of frustrating to go looking for simply friends and be bombarded with sex. I was one of the first sign ons at glee, but found it hard to establish much more than surface stuff with people. Maybe I need to revisit, it's been awhile.

I'm gone for a short while to move and I return to find that I, once more, have been maligned and insulted.

I will have you know that, in my day, I was evidently quite attractive - I use "evidently" because, as you know, being straight means I wouldn't recognize a good looking man if he bit me in the ass. (Speaking of biting me in the ass ...)

I have had more good-looking women fawn over me than keltic has hairs on his head and u-dog has intelligent thoughts. Why, just back in 1990, an absolutely beautiful woman asked me out - made up some excuse about having a bet with someone that I was gay - but I knew damn well she was out to have the best date she ever had. It was too bad she had to move out-of-town so quickly.

Then, there's my loving Jenna - now are you saying that Jenna has bad taste, u-dog and keltic. She finds me irresist... umm, charmi... well, good compa... okay, I cook for her - but she thinks I'm cute, too. She told me so - once - a long time ago - in a dream.
