I saw the film "For the Bible Tells Me So" and wanted to join the effort to work for justice for folks in the GLBT community. I am a pastor in the Episcopal Church and I teach Philosophy and Religion at the North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton.

40 miles north of Fargo? Gee, I've never been anyplace near there. The only association I have with Fargo is the movie of that title - possibly not the best association to have. :rolleyes::lol:

We are a diverse group here, even a few pointed heads in the lot. I came here as an outcast, and I know my experience is by no means unique. I tell you that because your desire is to work for justice for folks in the GLBT community. Since you are a pastor, I'm going to guess you'll appreciate that "mercy is better than justice." Not that justice should be ignored, but your presence here, the love you will have the opportunity to share, has great value. I speak from experience having found a place of acceptance here. So, thank you for coming, and I hope, thank you for being here.
