I have suffered great hardships and loss in my life, like many. Yet I live, yet I breathe, yet I wake up anew, every day.

Welcome Puppy! We got plentya love and to spare and most of us take comfort from that. Truth shows up here occasionally, but none of us claim to have it on a leash. Joy you will have to supply for yourself since that is manufactured internally. Love and Truth are two of its major ingredients though and comfort provides a suitable environment for it... so your chances of experiencing a bit of joy here are not TOO remote.

Welcome puppy. It sounds like you have experienced a lot of suffering in your life already. I hope you can join in our our discussions here. You'll find a lot of healing and insight here. I think it is great that you're on the Buddhist path...a great way to work with your suffering.

I also love DC. I have a number of friends there, but unfortunately I have the hardest time actually getting there...and, when I do, it's always so short.
