hello my name is Ric i am a black male from ohio and now live in portland oregon i have been out as a gay man since about 1980. at that time i was very deep into the church. first a baptist then i was comformed in the episcapal church. i am still in the episcopal church. but the parish i was comformerd in. in the past 2 years has left the epicscopal church. because of the concecration of biship robertson. so when that happened i thought when people in my parish said thay loved me did thay realy mean it . thay new i was gay. there was even one man in my parish that would worn my male friends becarful Ric is gay. and when i would see this man i would walk right past him like he was not there. i love the lord so much and know that i am not a sinner because i am gay. i remember when for at least 2 or 3 years i would pray if this is wrong(being gay )then please remove it from me. finaly i said this what i am and nothing is going to changr what i am. so i inbrased my sexuality. and have never looked back. i orderd some dvd's frm columbia house and one of them was shock to the system and i found out about this group from special features section and wated the soulforce featurette. i am glad to be a part of this group thank you for a worm welcome

Hi Ric, welcome. :) You've found a nice cyber place here.

San Francisco? I've only ever sort of passed through for a day once in a while, but I LOVED what I saw of it.

You'll find lots of folks to chat with here. Several other Episcopals who can probably relate a lot to what you're saying.

Hi Ric,

Welcome. Please jump into the conversations and give us all the opportunity to get to know you. You will find us a loving, accepting and affirming group (as long as you are not anti glbt...so you seem safe).

Hi Ric and welcome to Soulforce. It was wonderful to read that you embraced your sexuality. I embraced my transgenderism and transvestism 2 1/2 years ago and have never been happier. Love to correspond with you.

Welcome to Soulforce forums!!! There is always much to talk about here. Glad you found us.

San Fran is one of my favorite cities, and I normally get to visit two or three times a year. Enjoy the weather!
