Hello.

What are you looking for?

This is not a place where people recommend trying to change who you are. There are people here who tried that, and found it anything else but helpful.

Whatever it is you need, I hope you find it.

Welcome! Can you say more about what you need? As Zerbie said... no one here thinks that its a good idea to try to stop being gay if ... gay is what you are. But we can help you find OTHER resources probably. Let us know how to help. God loves you!

ok Never mind I just wish I could talk to someone My own age or around my age...about everything or anything, but I don't think someone is want to help me. I'll just Cry myself to sleep. I wish I can could to some gay Christian youth like my self but on my sell phone.

Well, it might help to indicate your age then, or if that is too much personal information to give out, you could say if you're in middle, high school, or college. There are a number of younger individuals here who could talk with you that may be your age, but I think the advice of the older members of this group is invaluable too. They have a depth and breath of experience, knowledge, and wisdom that we younger people just don't have. (I'm 19 y/o btw.) Plus, everyone brings with them a different set of knowledge and experience, so I think it would be great if you could talk to the people on these boards because I think you could get better feedback than from texting on a cell phone, given that's what you were talking about.

Also, depending on what you are looking for, there are links on the site to different resources concerning the Bible and gay issues if that's something that is bother you.

Oh! And, yes, welcome. I definitely would have to disagree that if you've come here looking for help that no one wants to provide it. We'd be more than glad to talk with you.

Dear RnB4life16

I've been where you are. When I was sixteen (in 1980) I took falsely to heart the messge that my atttraction to men made me a monster, a worthless deviant and something that I had to protect my family from.

This was the result of fear. Fear of embarassment, fear of Aids, fear of disappointing my parents, fear of having no friends. So I pretended to be straight. Walked straight. Talked straight. Even pretended to have a girlfriend to my parents.

I became a good liar. I even tried my hand at aversion therapy. It was not for nine years later that I finally came to grips with me and my nature.

Why do you want to change your attraction? Stupid question! Obvious Answer: Because by being gay, God the world is against you as you are against yourself?

Ahh! but the beautiful thing is that is not true. Every part of your nature is good. Especially the capacity to love sexually. We are here to help you see the shining soul that is you. To help gradually quiet your fears that blind you to the wonderful and complete person that you are by God's design. That He loves you and knew you before you were born.

You are becoming a man with the soul of a man. There is another of God's gay children who needs you to love him. That's why you are attracted to other guys. He making it so that you can find each other by attraction. This is his design. You will know him when you find him, and the search will make this good thing.....all that much better.

What is miraculous is when somone can help you see the shining boy inside.
Keep posting. Fear will be overcome by love and peace. Then what's left is the light, love and joy of your being......just the way God made you!

Okay, so I'm guessing your in high school then. I have a number of friends still in high school, and I know there are a number of other high schoolers that sometime frequent this forum, so if you have any questions for us we'd be more than happy to answer them for you. :)

Yes, there are several people here who are close to 16. Jennifer is almost exactly your age. There's also Tiger, and Austin, and a few others close to your age.
Keep posting.

You do not have to change who you are to be valuable, to be okay, to be lovable.

I recommend contacting the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender hotline. They have an adult hotline and a hotline for teenagers like yourself, where you can talk to other youth. They can listen to you and help you and give you gay friendly faith resources in your area.

Please stick around, you've found a good place!

I'm 16 and if you wanted to talk, I'm here. I understand sometimes needing to here from someone your own age, but don't under-estimate those who are older, we have a lot of adults on these forums with great wisdom, it seems like they can no matter what the problem may be.
