My wife told me earlier today after we woke up. She told me Benazir Bhutto was assassinated. I remember when she was first elected prime minister and thinking how odd it was that a woman in Pakistan be given so much power. Women are so severely put down and maligned simply because they are women in that part of the world, and it just astounded me that her country revered her that much to put her into power. Wow! I hope justice prevails and those responsible for the attack are brought to justice. What a terrible waste!:(

Perhaps what it shows that people put a woman in power is that moslem people are not as ignorant as we think them to be.. I don't believe that all moslems are fanatical or extremist.In fact I was reading where the Iranain people were outraged at a young girl being hanged because she was unmarried and slept with a man, the judge personally saw to it that she was hung, the people who attended the hanging were cursing the mullahs, saying the young girl had been sexually abused and had mental and emotional problems.
