Are there any other Furries around here? ^_^ I figure someone else must be. I'm an Osprey. Well, come on in, it's always fun to have furry chats.

I always thought thatmight be fun. How does anybosy afford it though? I looked at animal mascot costumes online and they are like $800. I'd problbaby be an armadillo.

Gee, I don't have a fur-suit. That's WAYYY too much money, right there. ^_^ It's more about, I guess, finding an animal you connect with and understand. Also about enjoying your happy anthropomorphic characters.

Oh, are you telling me there's anti-furry bias on here? Are we freaking because it's weird and we don't understand it? Isn't that why... a lot of people are homophobic?

So, the Osprey... I see. I don't know what my animal spirit/association is, although if people are freaked out by the idea of this furry business (most likely because you imediatedly think of the sensationalized image of people in animal suits yiffing...), just think of it as we're talking about it: animal spirits. I imagine it similar to how Scotty has the image of an otter as part of his signature; I'm assuming its an animal spirit he associates with.

I have some Cherokee heritage, so I like to think about the idea of having an animal spirit/guide, but I'm so out of touch with nature and the natural cycle of the world that I doubt I'll ever find such a connection with an animal.

I'm definitely not biased against furries, it's just that I recall asking Keyra if she knows what a furry is, and she was like, "Unfortunately I do." Of course she's ignorant about that as well.
I am not a beastialitist and I really don't want to have sex with a non-sentient animal. Furryism is just one of my "specializations", my passions (I think that's the best word).
Furries and gays go hand in hand^_^

Yeah, no one's equating furry fandom with beastiality. It's completely different, and furriness doesn't have to involve sexual acts despite what the media has told us. It's more a personality association from what I've seen from the furries I know.

Oh, and Ms. Osprey, I believe you have a typo in your quote. :3

Chirp chirp to you, Tiger-man. What typo? You said it, not me. I have witnesses. ^_^ Loves you! You're Cherokee and didn't tell me? That should have been the first thing out of your mouth, "Hi, my name is _____, and I'm part Cherokee."

I don't think I've ever associated furryism with beastiality. They are totally different. It's about finding an animal that you can associate with, or, that animal finding you, as in my case. People tend to resemble their animals... TigerXero and I have a friend who is a Fennec, and though very different from most foxes, he's still playful and peppy and adorable! I'm avian, and most of my friends see that in my personality. (I think TigerXero is a kinkaju in denial, but don't tell him I said that.) I'd even jump so far as to say that most furries are more aware of sexual rights and wrongs than other groups are.

Oh, an Mr. Tiger-man, being a furry is nothing like having an animal spirit guide. :-P At least I don't think so.... ha ha...

I'm a furry too, and it seems that so many fursuits cost as much as a Marshall amplifier.

Because $365 sounds as much as a Marshall series MG Fullstack amp.

Fursuits are terribly expensive.... and itchy, too, I hear.

Well... despite what you may think I am, Ms. Osprey, I still identify most with the Northern River Otter. Also, lol at me forgetting to mention my Cherokee heritage. Let me turn back the clock and do that, lol. As for fur suits, that's definitely something I'm not interested in.

Hm... your posts are so different from you IRL.

Interesting idea, furries. I'm a big animal lover (of course, not as we've clarified in the beastiality way) and I enjoy role-playing adventure games on my computer, so it's not something too far out of my comfort zone although I've never been familiar with it before - except for an episode of Law and Order.

Never heard of furries before, interesting. I have a picture in my head of John Candy in the dog suit in "Spaceballs." :)

No offense was intended by my post about John Candy's role in Spaceballs. To each his own as long as it isn't hurting anyone else.:)

Sorry about that.

Because i've been exposed to much hate on certain boards for being a furry.

The furry fetish seems way too Disney for me. It would be like having sex with Winnie the Pooh or the Easter Bunny. Not into that at all.

I think I'll just keep my thoughts to myself on this one.

Well not all furries are into yiff, I'm into it,but you have to take each person seperately, because not all of us are into yiff. Like that episode on Tyra Banks, there was a pitchfork mob on a furry forum wanting the person off the forums for slandering the furry fandom
