Hey all,
I've been a lone time lurker, just reading and browsing, and figured it was about time I started contributing.

About me:

I'm 23 and live in Lancaster PA w/ my boyfriend of two years. I work as a chemist for a samll biomedical sensor compay in York.

I was raised Evangelical, but oddly never encountered any sort of hostility when I came out. My parents have never been thrilled with the idea, but we're still very close. My brother and friends never batted an eye about it.

So there you have it, a short introduction for a simple guy.

I look forward to getting to know you all better and partake in some lively discussions.

Hi Cephus,

Glad you decided to come out in the open. I was just in Lancaster a couple of weekends ago. (You and your boyfriend weren't in the mall on Saturday afternoon, were you? We saw a really cute young couple there. :D)

My experience so far has been like yours. I have experienced no hostility with coming out. My mom wasn't happy with the news, but it hasn't hurt our relationship any. I thank the Lord that this has gone easily for me. I feel for those who have had to suffer so greatly after coming out.

Welcome Cephus! Glad that your lurking days are over, and that you are coming out in the open. This place is totally awesome; glad that you stuck around. Congrats on you and your boyfriend celebrating a couple of years. I am also here in PA., I live up in the Northeast corner on the edge of the Pocono Mountains. Have you read the thread "There is a movement in Pennsylvania"? Lots of info there about how you can get involved legislatively unless you already are!!!
