i like the people who take viagra, then ecstasy, have a good time, get drunk of hard liquor, wake up in the morning and take anti-depressents washed down with a latte so they can wake up and face their day.

its like the drugs are more the emotions than the emotions themselves.

In fairness (and possibly a little bit defense) of anti-depressants: they don't make you happy for no reason. When working properly, they allow one's mood to be appropriate to situations. If everything in your life is going pretty much great, but you're still crying all the time, I think it's fair to say that there's something wrong there. Also, they don't have any that work on a daily basis "for the day"; they take at least a month to start working, and usually missing a day won't be felt right away that day.

Also, I have a sneaking suspicion that the night you describe would kill ya. ;)

I took a VIAGRA once and it got stuck in my throat... I had a stiff neck for a week!

I think Austin was expressing exasperation with those who abuse drugs by using them inappropriately, rather than use them appropriately.

And sometimes, the human system is incredibly resilient. I met someone once years into recovery who tells ya they survived many things they should not have.
