...and don't say I misspelled that word.
Anyways, I tried to access this thread titled "I'm straight...let's talk" but couldn't-that's some crap but let's move on>_>
It was very cold, cold, COLD this morning, as if the wind was trying to prevent me from reaching my goal. I was like, "God, why today?"; twas windy to the point that my jacket was ready to rip. I felt as if an endless torrent of 0 degree water was undulating me nonstop-it was hellish.
The point I wanted to make was that we might not understand why we have to face these challenges, but we must do them anyway. It might've been only 7:20 in the morning and cold like hell, but I was going to get to class and learn today no matter what. We all want to succeed in life, and so we must press on endlessly until He says "when". Things were looking great the first thirty seconds of this morning, but when it picked up I faltered, but didn't give up. I kept on walking.
We kept walking yesterday...
We need to keep on walking today...
And we all need to continue walking tomorrow.

You have to sign up for this thread, which is in the Foyer by signing up under 'group memberships' after clicking on the 'Private Messages' tab.

It's not as complicated as it sounds actually.

1) Click on 'Private Messages'.

2) Find the "Group memberships" in the left hand column.

3) Click that on and enable the Foyer to be seen on your webpage.

Post away!

Now. I agree with you. There are days when it feels like you are trying to walk against a strong wind or swim against the tide. And you're right. We have to keep going, even if it means gritting our teeth and making one foot move in front of the other.

While it may build character..........it isn't any fun.

And I hope...at some point.....you are making some time for some. Because, if you don't, there won't be any.

I say this because when I was in my late 20's and early 30's I was one serious guy (still am in many ways!) And every time I saw the person who was my counselor then, she would ask me: "Are you having any fun? You have to plan to have fun....it just doesn't happen by itself (meaning that I had to get out of my head and let me hair down at bit).

And she was so right.

Serious types need serious fun.
