Hi, my name is Elizabeth and I'm a student at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. Just wanted to let you all know that you have major support from LSTC!! We love you guys!

I got to see "For the Bible Tells Me So" last night at an 'official' viewing... the Reitans were there. It truly was an amazing experience, and I'm so hopeful for the future. What a fantastic tool now available for starting adult forum work!

Hi Elizabeth,

Glad to have you with us on the forums. Also glad to see some Lutherans on our side. I went to a Lutheran college that was certainly not LGBT friendly. (That was in the early '80's. I am convinced attitudes have improved since then. Also was LCMS.)

I was quite impressed with For the Bible Tellls Me So. I thought is was a very well done documentary. I cried a few times in the movie, but I'm a gay man so that's not terribly unusual. :D

A few years back, a local Lutheran minister felt that she had to come out to her church, and to her diocese. There was some talk of her having to leave, but her church made it clear to the diocese that they were going to keep her on. The church may or may not have received a letter of reprimand, but she's still there, and her church is quite happy to have her.
