How the bleep do I get the search function to work?! [Archive]

ARGH!!

I have tried to search for key words on this forum, and there was one of those fields with codes where you have to type in what you see. Well, I kept typing what I saw, but the computer didn't agree with what I saw, so I didn't get to search. I tried about 7 times, and it only worked once.

What the --???

GAH!!!!

What a frustrating day, I can read my edginess in my posts today too. Maybe I'll go back and delete them all. :o

Anyway, I did try again just now, and I'm still not matching the letters in the code field. They just don't read clearly to me.

Some are case sensetive and some are not. And then they twist it up so it's hard to tell sometimes what is CAPITALIZED and what is not. I have trouble with those too sometimes.

Yeah, a lot of times I only saw 5 characters and you were supposed to type 6. Why have a search function at all if it's unusable? :confused:

Apparently those things are to prevent computer programs that spammers use to post their nuisance ads by automation.
