Bashing on St. Maarten

CBS news men bashed on St. Maarten, now back in the states. Keep them in your prayers.

This is very sad. It reminds me of a trip I went on a few years ago with the Atlantis (gay travel) group to Costa Rica. When word got out that a gay group had taken over one of the resorts we were informed that there might be trouble as we tried to leave. Sure enough, on the day of our departure we learned that a local Catholic priest had kept his flock up all night and plied with alcohol to form a road block restricting us from reaching the airport. Our three large buses sat with window curtains drawn as local police (in riot gear) tried to keep these "Christians" from attacking the buses. A few harmless items hit the bus and within a half hour we were on our way, but it definitely gave me the message that they did not want our money. Costa Rica is a beautiful country in its natural appeal, but this demonstrated to me how a few knuckleheads can be easily brainwashed all in the name of love. Needless to say, I haven't given them any more of my money. There are too many other places to see. I wish these currently hurt young men a speedy recovery. Perhaps a boycott of this island, as the Cayman Islands, is in order. It certainly worked on Sandals Resorts a few years ago.
