I got very involved when one of the SF actions just happened to fit my circumstances (that was the 7SN project last year.) There is a major SF action coming up very soon - like a week or so, I believe - in Texas.

I definitely recommend signing up to take part in any SF action that appeals to you. Some of them appeal to me more than others. If you see something you want to be part of, get in touch with staff and sign yourself up.

well i havent been able to attend the meetings yet, i have class during the time. there are many ways you can get involved, going to meetings, events, being part of this forum, and just being aware and spreading the news

If you are able to find a Soulforce organized event, do it. It may change your life as it has mine.
There are no other events planned in my area that I know of, but I am living activism.
I joined the Reconciling Ministries as a result of my experience at the Methodist Conference.
I attend a welcoming and affirming Methodist church on ocassion, even though I am not Methodist.
I went to the opening service of the North Texas Methodist annual Conference last night. It was awesome. I will attach a picture. The home pastor announced at the beginning that the message they had received at General conference was that they needed to listen to people who are different and be willing to accept change.
They had a Christian rock band play throughout the service and these guys ROCKED the hall! They had announced prior that the young people who were going to work this summer would be attending the service.
THEY failed to mention that this group numbered in the hundreds and were the choir also!
Awesome, experience. Since I sat with my Methodist church and we all wore our stoles and I am kinda hard to miss ( 6ft transgender woman) it was also activism. At the grass roots level.
Thank you for starting this thread. I really needed to talk about the goodness that Soulforce has brought into my life !
