Ok, this has nothing to do with Soulforce. But I entered a web programming contest and my entry was selected as one of the ten finalists. The winner gets :dollar: x 4000. Yes... four grand! Would you please take a moment to vote for me?
The contest was to make a web application that used Google Maps for something creative or useful. My entry is called Buried Treasure and, while a silly thing, it also demonstrates some good code.

I voted for ya, but, really, you should check on your smashy emoticon. Decidedly not nonviolent.

I voted, but I didn't get to try out your program. I use a dinosaur of a computer here at school.

Why am I so at a loss with technology? I can't get the map to work quite right. I tried to pan out to the US and wound up in Papau New Guinea.
What are we supposed to do if we click on one of the little red teardrops and read an introduction? Are we supposed to zoom in and find more?

Tried to vote.
But when I click on your work Jamie- my Safari (ibook) program crashes - repeatedly- for reasons that are unknown to me.
Oh tech wizards....it there something I can do to fix this?

Are these programs incompatible with Safari? That's what I'm using, too.

Thanks for the votes!
Humm. I now make sure all my websites work in Safari since I made the move to a Mac last year. I'm using Safari 3.1.1. I don't want anyone to have trouble at the polls (or with me Pirate program lest they not vote for me! Argh!) We need now have a pirate smilie by the way. :pirate:

...if anyone has any thoughts about getting their filthy hands on my treasure - think again. It's well protected.

Ummm, welllll, I've been known to struggle with technology - pretty much any step more elaborate than finding the "on" switch can throw me off, so it may be I just couldn't figure out what I was supposed to do. :p Otoh, if Danny also had difficulties, maybe there was something amiss. Hope not.

Ooh!! :D So you can give us new ones?!?! We need (I have long been pining for) a smiley that twirls like a ballerina to express elation (more artistically than the "yippee, hooray" bouncey thing:rolleyes:,) and one which shows a face wiping sweat off it's brow to express ("whew!") relief. Can we get that?
