OK, actually that is just my screen name - my name is John Gaines and my husband and I just finished watching Shock to the System and learned about Soulforce. We are thrilled to know about this wonderful group and are very excited to learn more and become a member of this group. I promise not to babble too much however I am very excited about it! I thought Shock to the System was a great movie. It is always good to see gays portrayed as regular people rather than stereotypical oddities. It was great that the work Soulforce could be included with the film.

So, how come I don't know this "Shock to the System" film? Sounds like maybe I missed something here.

Soulforce is a GREAT group of people! Have you checked out the information on the current SF action? "Family outing" I believe - families from SF going to visit with congregations and pastors at "megachurches." I hope it is a good beginning to more unity in the world, and more openness. Check out the pictures and statements from the volunteers participating - I can't wait to hear reports on how the events go.
