Has anyone besides me seen "The Tudors"? OMG!!! It is so good with gay characters even implying George Boleyn, Anne's brother, had a gay fling. Then he was forced to marry a woman, of course, but still....
I love history and the study of it. It is fascinating...Am I just wierd?

I saw a preview of it and fell in love! But unfortunately I don't have the channel to get it... which is kinda lame. I did love the movie The Other Boleyn Girl, and I love the book! I love that family and the history around that time too.

Well i saw a trailer of it,but i feel that they should have had the characters speak Old English instead of Modern English, geeze even Renaissance Faires get it right on the language of the time, Prithee whilst thou tell of this the grandest of all shires.
Of course no other faults with the movie.

Renaissance Faire English isn't anything like what they spoke in the sixteenth century. And we would have trouble understanding a real 16th century accent. Much better to just translate it into modern English, the way they do with any other movie set in a place where they speak a different language.

Yes, I have seen it. I actually rented it, Showtime really is good with getting their shows out on DVD quickly. That is what I did with Dexter also, now that I LOVE. I do have to admit, even as a lesbian, the actor that plays Henry Tudor is one sexy man. Ellie thinks he has really weird ugly hands though. They also picked a very exotic looking Anne Bolyn, she has a cat like tilt to her eyes.

Tyme,
AS a lesbian, the love scenes between the characters of Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn are so, ummm shall we say, graphic and vivid, it is stimulating to say the very least. OMG!!! My wife loves it too. I am hooked on Season 2 and have Season 1 on my iPod. OOOH WEEE! I am having to turn up the air conditioner just thinking about it....:o:o:o

My friend Erich has the biggest crush on Henry, he just loves it! Before the whole Tudors, do you remember Queer as Folk? I loved Lindseys wife, the lawyer Mel. Now that was one hot woman. I do love butches. They did a hot scene with a vibrator once and that was something to see! I was so surprised that QAF and Showtime was being that grapic, but I can't say I regret it one bit.:lol::lol::lol:

Tyme,
I do remember QAF. I had a small crush on Mel, too and I thought it was just too sexy to see her and Lindsey get it on. Man, they had chemistry! My wife and I usually use one, and it is great! I have never been so satisfied in my life as with her. I don't know about any other woman or whether or not I would feel comfortable, but I am with her and I guess that is all that is important.
I love the Tudors, too... Too sexy and hot....UMMMM!!!!! And I kinda like the graphic nature of it....

The most horrible thing that ever happended to me was the time my mom was over at the house and I had forgotten that I had a toy under my pillow after a night of passion and my mom was helping me with the housework. She helped me make the bed and we were chatting. Suddenly she holds up the toy and I was speechless. She just looked at me and said "well, I am glad you girls are having fun" I just about died! I guess that I should be happy that she is so liberal!:lol::lol:
I didn't tell Ellie about it, she would never be right again.

Tyme,
I am glad you had fun that night and will have many more like it in the years to come. Yes, you are lucky your mom is so liberal. I think sex is fun and should be a time of passion and love and intimacy and any way you get there is ok with me. There are 6-7 billion people on this planet and they got here somehow. I reckon the "toy" industry is quite profitable!!! Especially among lesbians!!!
I remember my daughter finding my toy on the bathroom sink in our bedroom and she was like, "Mom, what is this?" I got all red and said, "Uh, it is a massager and my neck has been really sore." She shrugged and said, "Ok!" and went about her business. I keep them now in my nightstand for those times when... If she goes snooping and finds them, she can draw her own conclusions. Someday, maybe she will find out what all the fuss is about....
